Nov 23, 2016 You can model something in Blender, save the file as an OBJ file, create a new C4D file in AE using C4D Lite, then add the OBJ file to C4D. I actually do that quite often. Blender is for animation rigging and making 3d objects move. After Effects, as the name implies, handles everything afterwards such as lighting, effects, layering, and possibly even time lining, although editing together you film is a job for Adobe premier. It’s also possible to check their score (9.0 for Adobe After Effects CC vs. 8.6 for Blender) and user satisfaction level (82% for Adobe After Effects CC vs. 98% for Blender). The scores and ratings give you an overall idea how these two software products perform.
