OBJECTIVES

To provide a platform for local Architects to present innovative and creative ideas;
To provide the opportunity to work with the Design Consultant to execute the winning design ideas;
To enhance the identity, sharpen the image of both museums and improve streetscape (for Part A); and,
To create future-oriented open space with inspiring scientific elements for general public enjoyment at the rooftop of the new Annex 1 Building (for Part B).

All matters, information or changes as announced in the Competition Website concerning the Competition shall be deemed confirmed and shall be binding upon all Participants.

Registered Architect (RA) under Registration Ordinance
Fellow / Full member of Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA)

Important Notes:

Collaborative Entries are permitted and the members shall nominate a leading member who MUST be a RA or HKIA Full / Fellow member as described above.
Entries made by company will not be accepted.
Individual or team Participant is free to participate in either Part A and Part B OR both Part A and Part B.
If any Participant decide to join both Part A and Part B, he/ she shall submit separate Entry Form (i.e. one for Part A and one for Part B).
The Professional Adviser has the right to disqualify any Entry which, in his opinion, is of same design or content or with duplicate Individual/Collaborative Entry members as another Entry.

Implementation of the Winning Entries

Part A: The Participant of the Winning Entry for Part A may be separately engaged by ArchSD as a Façade Design Adviser working with the Lead Architectural Consultant, Farrells.

Part B: The Participant of the Winning Entry for Part B may be separately engaged by ArchSD as a Lead Consultant for the design and construction of the rooftop open space.
