Mamp Mysql Server Not Starting Mac

Mamp Mysql Server Not Starting Mac

  • Zsh: command not found: mysql mamp; test mysql connection; digitalocean ubuntu install mysql. Mysql server not starting in xampp in mac; create database sql; how to install mysql 8.0 windows service; how to check the port of mysql installation in mac; User.
  • Mysql.server start before going to. Mysql -u root -p so as to make sure that the mysql server is running before trying to login into it. This happens many times what you start/restart a machine where by no mysql server is running.
  • The reasons for the problems with running MySQL server can be different in different cases. The most common problems with MySQL server not starting are the following: Another mysql service running on the same port. The mysql.sock.lock file was not deleted. The current user not having permissions to the file. The log file is corrupted.

Using MYSQL with MAMP. Step 1: Start MAMP which will display this window.Click on the middle button to bring up the Start Page. Step 2: The mac and PC version of this page may look different but both have the same link under the MySQL section in the middle.Click on the link for phpMyAdmin. Step 3: phpMyAdmin will look like this. In some cases it may possible that the MySQL is already running on 3306 port. So, you can change the port number with 3307. P.S: If you are bound to use 3306 in that case I think you can stop existing MySql server and let MAMP to do it for you.

I am using MAMP 4.1 on Windows 10 and cannot get MySQL server to start. When I uninstalled MAMP and re-installed it MySQL server starts up, but when I stop it, it will not start back up. I also went into the mampdbmysql and deleted the four log files. Then I turned the server off, then back on, but only Apache starts up, not MySQL.
There is also a process running in services called MySQL80. When I try to start it I get the error 'File Not Found'. I have tried many ways to delete it, including going to the command prompt and using 'sc mysql80' and going to 'regedit'. MySQL80 does not show up anywhere so that I can delete it.
Also, the Resource Monitor shows that Apache is running on port 80, but nothing on port 3306. And yes, my MAMP Preferences are set to port 3306 for MySQL.
When MySQL was running, I had 2 processes of 'mysqld' listening: one session on IPv6 Port 3306, and the other session on IPv4 Port 3306.
What's wrong and how do I fix it?
And, is there suppose to be (2) sessions of 'mysqld' both listening on port 3306 where one is on IPv6 and the other is on IPv4?
Thanks Community.
